Joe the Plumber calls gays "queers"
So often the media gives you a MIND SET by making the Title of the article give you a false impression. Joe does say what the title says he said but if you read the whole story you will see that he is not gay bashing just saying it like it is. I find him very refreshing because he says what he thinks and in this Obama dictatorship unless you are liberal or a democrat you had better keep your opinions to yourself or Obama will sic his media dogs on you and smear your name or company.

Just a couple comments. The article doesn't say he called them "queers"...not in the title nor in the text. Your title is the only place it appears. There's a huge grammatical difference between calling someone "a queer" vs saying something or someone "is queer"...not to mention that the latter [Joe's explanation] is seldom used in today's vernacular. Oh, since Joe's reading the dictionary, he might also want to make note of the slang reference in most dictionary definitions...and possibly choose a different word. Unless, of course, he's simply looking for publicity. But, that doesn't sound like Joe.
As to whether he's "gay bashing"; I guess it depends on your definition of bashing. Indicating that you won't allow your children around an individual isn't exactly a term of endearment. If I said, "I don't believe people should be closed minded, fraudulent, media sponges. I wouldn't let my children around Joe", am I bashing Joe, or just "telling it like it is"
That was my point; the title given the article by the mainstream media deliberately misleads readers into thinking that "Joe called gays queer” which he didn't. He was explaining how he felt about different things. But the media will use certain words to twist the news to say whatever they want it to say. They use this method especially against Republicans, Conservatives and Christians to make it look like they are bigots, homophobes and lacking any intelligence whatsoever. Your comment shows you thought I had made a mistake thinking that Joe had actually called “gays queers”. The title was intended to inflame the gay community into anger by his usage of an unacceptable word. This was the newspapers title not mine.
Many words today have a slang meaning. The word "queer" is used in many ways and you hear it quite often. I don’t know why it has devolved into meaning something other then its original meaning.
As for gay bashing because he wouldn't allow his children near his friends, parents protect their children from influences that they feel may harm them either physically mentally or morally. You can love people but not agree with their actions and Joe didn’t want his children influenced by his friend’s actions.
